Online Event Registration & Payment: Making Changes to Serve You Better

Effective with our April 2008 full day seminar HRPLD will be implementing online only event registration and payment. We have elected to utilize this service provided through HRPA because it offers the following benefits:

  • A pre-populated registration form (when you enter your name and password on the HRPA site)
  • A pre-populated recertification log entry for all educational events attended by CHRPs
  • A historical record of events attended (for non CHRPs)
  • Ability for HRPLD to access accurate, real time member information (for attendee name tags)
  • Collection of event fee up front to avoid the cost of no shows

We are excited about this change and hope you are too. Should you have any questions or concerns please contact us at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

Why participate in the Buddy Program?

Do you remember attending your first HRPLD meeting and not knowing anyone in the room? It is not the best feeling being on the outside when it seems like everyone else knows one another.

Help us make the HRPLD a community which uses the superb human relations skills that HR professionals have in order to welcome new members into our association.

This is a great way to help impact someone else's professional and personal development, without having to make long-term commitments. You will get to spend a little time at one of our monthly meetings with a newer member of the HRPLD, introduce them to contacts, and share your experiences which will help establish a link to the newer members in the organization. It can be a great way to get a fresh perspective, recruit young professionals and help develop yours and their professional network.

At each meeting there will be a representative from the membership committee at the registration desk identifying themselves with a Buddy sign in front of them. Let them know you are interested in participating in the program for that evening and they will link you with a new member. Let us work together to enhance the sense of community that each and every one of us can benefit from.

To participate call Jennifer Carter at 519-641-2002, ext 225 or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . You can also volunteer at the meetings by contacting the membership committee member at the registration desk. Look for the Buddy sign!
